AIR CARRIER UPDATES

Below are additional updates from air carriers who serve the continent:

  • South African Airways: South African Airways (SAA) resumed both domestic and regional Africa service. The carrier’s first scheduled flight was an early morning take-off from OR Tambo International in Johannesburg to Cape Town International on September 23rd and is one of three return flights per day between the two cities. Flights are also set to start to five African capitals, namely, Accra, Kinshasa, Harare, Lusaka, and Maputo.

  • Kenya Airways: Domestic flights restarted on July 15, 2020 and international flights on August 1, 2020.

  • Emirates:  Passengers must carry a negative PCR certificate issued no more than 96 hours before departure and issued by a local government approved laboratory.

    All travelers to Dubai, including passengers with a connecting flight, must complete this health declaration form here

  • Etihad Airways: Operating flights around the world and working with the UAE government. Some flights require PCR tests.
